The rites of Umrah, step by step

A simple overview to help you prepare. Our on-ground guide walks with you through each stage.

1

Ihram

Enter the state of ihram at the appointed miqat — purity of dress, intention (niyyah) and reciting the Talbiyah.

2

Tawaf

Circle the Ka'bah seven times in devotion, beginning and ending at the Black Stone (Hajar al-Aswad).

3

Sa'i

Walk seven times between the hills of Safa and Marwah, remembering Hajar's search for water.

4

Halq / Taqsir

Shave or trim the hair to complete the Umrah and exit the state of ihram.

“Someone came to me tonight from my Lord while I was in the 'Aqiq valley, and said: Offer prayer in this blessed valley.” — Narrated by 'Umar (RA)

Sacred sacrifice

Qurbani arrangements

“We have made the sacrifice of camels and cows among the salient features of the Deen of Allah. There is benefit in it for you.” — Surah Al-Hajj.

Ehraam arranges Qurbani on your behalf during Eid al-Adha — carried out according to the Sunnah, with care and transparency, so the obligation is fulfilled even while you focus on your pilgrimage.
